Africa in the News

I'm busy with preparations for ministry in DR Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda. I leave August 6. Last night, I checked the news.
  • DR Congo: The humanitarian crisis in the east worsened in June, with another 100,000 people displaced by rebel conflict. Katanga province, where I will be in August, is very far from the conflict area. But I have been to the east. And my heart aches. http://allafrica.com/stories/200907100888.html
  • South Sudan: More have died from violence in South Sudan in recent months than in the war-torn Darfur region. Women and girls especially are being targeted. I will make my first trip to South Sudan the last week of August. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8127179.stm
  • Uganda: Drought in the north and north-east is causing famine. Some have already died of starvation. I've ministered in some of the affected areas. When I read the news, I see friends' faces. I expect to be back in northern Uganda the first week of September. http://allafrica.com/stories/200907100093.html

JESUS IS PEACE . . . even in DR Congo.

JESUS IS HOPE . . . even in South Sudan

JESUS IS LIFE . . . even in Uganda.
