Under the Tent in Waskaganish

God has been moving this week under the tent. This is the 30th summer that people have met to seek God under the tent in Waskaganish. Thirty years ago here, God was also moving in the streets, in homes, and all over. Jesus was changing lives, changing families, transforming the community. Some of the people meeting under the tent this week remember. They were there. They were changed. They know what it means to be lost and then found, to be broken and then restored. They have seen what happens when the love and power of Jesus is set loose in a community. But there's a new generation in Wakaganish who weren't there. Some of them have heard the stories. But they haven't experienced the love and they haven't experienced the power. They are lost and need to be found; they are broken and need to be restored. They carry too much pain, too much anger, and too much despair. Some are looking to death as a final solution.
The new generation hasn't been under the tent this week. But on Wednesday night, the people under the tent began to cry out for them. As God poured out a fresh anointing of the Spirit, they poured out their hearts to God. They prayed that voices speaking unrighteousness and death would be silenced. They prayed that the voice of Jesus would be heard. They prayed that the lost would be found and the broken restored
They prayed that Jesus would move out from under the tent. It wouldn't be the first time!
Would you pray with them?
