Crossing the Finish Line!

We are crossing the finish line today! The last teaching sessions are wrapping up this morning. This evening, 20 Ugandan missionaries, evangelists, and pastors graduate from the "40 Days of Missions" training at Missions Transformation Centre. Some are already involved in missions outside Uganda -- and some have received clear calls to global missions while they've been here. Others will continue to minister at home, but with a very broadened perspective of what God is doing in the world and the part they have to play in that. There has been much discussion among the students about how to mobilize local churches to pray, give, and send so that the gospel will penetrate the world's remaining unreached people groups. Our field trips -- to Masaka last week, and to Kampala this week -- have brought new perspectives on various aspects of missions and ministry. We are so proud of what these students have allowed God to accomplish in them during these 40 days. And we are excited about the potential they carry to produce "fruit that remains" for the Kingdom of God among the nations of the world.

Please pray for the students as they return home. Pray for me as I spend the weekend in Kampala, then depart for home late Sunday evening. Pray for the leadership of Missions Transformation Centre as they seek God's direction and plan for the ongoing development of the ministry here.
